A Case for Proportionate Regulation Positioning

Financial and Insurance Services

Description

Since the global financial crisis there has been increased scrutiny placed on financial institutions worldwide. This has resulted in an increase in regulation which has often disproportionately impacted smaller Authorised Deposit-Taking Institutions (ADIs) in terms of cost.
Like any other organisation, ADIs make choices regarding investments focussed on growth, innovation and general improvements. However, no choice exists in relation to when investments are required to meet regulatory requirements.
